GREEN'S COMMENTS:  "The first question I am asked about TI-Screen® is why would FootAmerica® carry sunscreen?  To understand, you only need to experience a bad sunburn on your foot or ankle once!  Due to the thin skin present in these areas, the feet and ankles are extremely prone to sunburn and subsequent permanent skin damage.  Also, sunscreen applied to the feet and ankles is usually the first to be washed off (strolls along the water, sitting at the pool edge with feet in the water).  Unfortunately, sunscreen is not always reapplied to the feet and ankles due to the mess it creates, especially at the beach.  The combination of sand and lotion on your hands can make you feel miserable.  So, what to do?  My recommendations for a day at the beach or pool are as follows: 

• Apply the TI-Screen SPF 15 or 30 Lotion to all sun exposed areas before leaving home.  It has excellent moisturizing properties.  I recommend it for people with normal or dry skin.

• The TI-Screen SPF 20 Sports Gel is great for people with oily skin or acne-prone skin, an alternative to TI-Screen Lotion.  Where the TI-Screen Lotion is a moisturizer, the Sports Gel has a drier, cooler feel due to its alcohol base.  It is also excellent for applying to hairy skin areas and the scalp, again due to its drying properties.

• Apply the TI-Screen SPF Lip Protectant to your lips.

• Pack the TI-Screen SPF 23 Spray in your beach/pool bag.  This is my favorite sunscreen product!  Apply it throughout the day as needed when you want to keep your hands clean.  The spray is great to use when applying to sandy areas of your body such as the feet and ankles.  No more excuses needed for not reapplying sunscreen!
